Technicians/Timber Cruisers

Location – Prince George/Burns Lake Area

Description

 

 

 

 Timber Cruiser

– Preferred post- secondary education in the natural sciences and/or technical forestry applications;
– Minimum 1 year experience in timber development, cruising and layout;
– A demonstrated ability and ambition to work in an outdoor environment;
– Can demonstrate competencies in physical ability and professional work habits.

 Layout Technician

– Preferred post-secondary education in the natural sciences and/or technical forestry applications;
– Minimum 1 year timber development, layout and/or cruising experience;
– A demonstrated ability and ambition to work in an outdoor environment; and
– Can demonstrate competencies in physical ability and professional work habits.

All applicants must have a valid BC drivers license. Travel is required of all positions. Work requirements include; willingness to work in remote locations and adverse weather conditions, and to fly in fixed or rotary-winged aircraft.

Instructor – Construction Heavy Equipment

Location – Prince George, BC

Description

We are currently looking for a motivated instructor to join our team. The qualified applicant will have a minimum of 10 years experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment in the Construction industry.

The ideal candidates will have a strong interest in helping students achieve their goals and be able to share their interest in this trade with those students.

Duties include: Prepare and present classes in both theory and practical settings, organize and supervise practical assignments, conduct student evaluations, and maintain necessary paper work, participate in course, program and curriculum development, as well as maintain contacts.

 Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education focused on Heavy Equipment with 5-10 years industry experience
  • Provincial Instructor Diploma (PIDP) strongly preferred
  • Experience with troubleshooting/diagnosing and assisting with repairs on equipment
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills with effective leadership and coaching capabilities
  • Well developed analytical, time management and organizational skills
  • Solid business and financial acumen with high integrity and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and with the customers
  • Flexible addressing multiple priorities with effective planning strategies and current on the market conditions
  • Results driven with proven commitment to deliver internal and external service excellence continuously
  • Comprehensive computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Willing and able to travel for work outside regular business hours
  • Valid Driver’s Licence with current Clean Driver’s Abstract
